Spire Solicitors LLP announces the retirement Alisdair Liddle, a valued Member of the LLP, as well as Partner in our Wills, Tax & Probate team. After many years of exceptional work, Alisdair will leave behind a lasting legacy within our firm.

Alisdair’s journey to becoming a respected legal professional started when he began his career in London, working for the Official Solicitors Office and city law firm, Simmons and Simmons for 12 years.

Returning to Norfolk, Alisdair joined Overbury Steward Eaton & Woolsey Solicitors (Overburys), quickly becoming Managing Partner, prior to their merger with Spire Solicitors LLP in 2013, where he continued with us as Head of Private Client. He’s been known for his expertise in private client work, especially helping with wills, trusts and supporting clients in all aspects of lifetime planning. He also assisted farming and agriculture clients and became skilled in helping clients access NHS Continuing Health Care.

Alongside his work, he has also worked closely with STEP, global professional body, with more than 21,000 members comprising lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures.

“Alisdair has made a huge impact on our firm and has helped many within our community,” said Carl Heywood, Senior Partner at Spire Solicitors LLP. “His knowledge, dedication and care for clients set a high standard for us all. We’ll miss him greatly, but we’re happy to see him start this new well-deserved chapter after many years in the legal sector, as well as remain forever thankful for helping us guide Spire Solicitors LLP to its current strong market position.”

On behalf of all the firm, as Alisdair begins his retirement, we thank him for his invaluable contributions to Spire Solicitors LLP and wish him the very best for the future.
