Spire Solicitors LLP is pleased to announce Matthew Downing will be taking on the role of Head of Corporate and Commercial having jointly run the team with Roger Margand during the last year.
Matthew is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial team and works from the Firm’s Norwich office. He is a very experienced corporate finance lawyer, advising clients on buying and selling businesses across a wide range of sectors. He has particular experience in advising large companies on acquisitions, selling owner managed and family businesses and acting for the selling and acquiring teams on management buyouts.
Roger will continue to play a significant role within the team and across the firm. He has a long established and loyal client following, which he will continue to support and develop further. Roger is also a non-executive director at the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and carries out several other external roles as either a director, trustee or chairperson.
